Thomas Frost Carriger, age 52, of Johnson City died unexpectedly at his residence Monday, February 13, 2012. A native of Elizabethton he was the son of the late Thomas McDonald and Cathryn Frost Carriger. He was an avid golfer and a car enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Tom and Pearl Carriger and Dr. W.G. and Elsie Frost and two aunts, Elizabeth Regas and Margaret Neas. Survivors include two sisters, Diane Miller and husband Gary, Jonesborough and Marilyn Carriger and her caregiver Robbin Gibson and family, all of Elizabethton; an aunt, Peggy Carriger and her special friend Al Hubatka, Cary, NC; an uncle, Bill Regas, Knoxville and two special children, Jessee and Kaleb West, both of Elizabethton. Several cousins also survive. Memorial service for Thomas Frost Carriger will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Derek Cornett, minister officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the memorial service or at the residence of his sister Marilyn Carriger, 400 West G Street, Elizabethton at other times. Private burial will be held at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
