Our deepest condolences to Bro. Haney's family. We loved him with all our hearts and regret that we were not able to attend the beautiful celebration of his life. We did, however, watch the livestream; and what a blessing it was! May God bless and comfort you all. Jerome and Georgia Wilkinson
Sorry for your loss.

What first comes to mind when I think about Uncle Stuart is his love for music. While Stuart’s parents and siblings were all musically inclined, he seemed to love music the most. At about age four or five, my earliest memories of Stuart were of him picking guitar outside my grandparents’ home and making music with other members of the “Blackburn Clan” and friends who had stopped by after Sunday church services. Later, in elementary school, I remember how excited he was about recording a 45 record instrumental called “King Bee” and his band’s one-night performance at the Betsy Theater in Elizabethton. My dad, Jay, collected money from those who wanted to buy the record which was being played on the local music station. Now at age 70, I remember my mother, Odell, and others often commenting about how dearly Stuart had come to love the Lord and praising Him through music. Without a doubt, he surely will be keeping time to the beat of the music and loving being a member of the celestial choir!

What a wonderful saint has left this earthen sod. No doubt in where his soul now resides. I'd say God will gladly allow him to conduct His Heavenly choir.
Our prayers are with Agnes and family! Love you!
Sending love and prayers to the family.
My sweet Uncle Haney. I sit here laughing and crying. I can just see you shouting all over heaven ! We have had a lot of good times singing around the old piano and traveling to different churches. We didn't get to be together here much anymore for a lot of different reasons, mostly sickness. You and Aunt Aggie will always have a special place in my heart. I love you my dear family. My prayer is for comfort and strength for all of you. Haney, it won't be long until we can sing together again like we have never sung before. Till we meet by the river, gonna miss you .
