Mr. Roy “Cowboy” Rosenbaum, 57, 3216 Mayfield Drive, Apt. 7, Johnson City went to be with his Lord Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of Gloria Curtis Ray and the late Clifford “Tuck” Rosenbaum.Mr. Rosenbaum attended Morning Star Pentecostal Church. He grew strong in his faith later in life and loved to testify about his Lord. “Cowboy” loved to fish.            In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Rosenbaum and a brother, Richard Rosenbaum. Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Judy Rosenbaum, of the home; a daughter, Amy Rosenbaum, Johnson City; four sons, Carmen Rosenbaum and Scotty Rosenbaum, both of Taylorsville, NC, John Rosenbaum, Jonesborough and Travis Rosenbaum, Johnson City; two step-daughters, Sylvia White, Nashville and Diane Carr, Fall Branch; two step-sons, Stanley Dellinger and his wife Kim, Jonesborough and Teddy Dellinger, Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Pope, Robert Dellinger, Dustin Carr, Adam Carr, Hannah Rosenbaum, Cody Rosenbaum, Kenedy Rosenbaum and Melissa Moore; three great-grandchildren, Kadence Carr, Hannah Forrester and Haley Forrester; four brothers, Bill Rosenbaum, Johnson City, Tim Rosenbaum, Florida, Earnest Rosenbaum and his wife Georgia and Teddy Miller and his wife Francis, all of Elizabethton; two half-sisters, Emma Rosenbaum, Elizabethton and Joyce Rosenbaum, Maryland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.            Funeral service for Mr. Roy “Cowboy” Rosenbaum will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 2, 2009 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Casey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the funeral service or at the residence at other times. Interment will follow the funeral service in Speer-Rosenbaum Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Rosenbaum, Scotty Rosenbaum, Carmen Rosenbaum, Dustin Carr, Adam Carr, Timmy Nichols and Greg Miller. Honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Pope.
