Rosa Eggers Wilcox

Mrs. Rosa Eggers Wilcox, age 91, of Conyers, GA formerly of Elizabethton, TN passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Riverside Health Care Nursing Home, Covington, GA following an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, TN she was the daughter of the late R. F. and Clara Rebecca “Becky” Robinson Eggers. Mrs. Wilcox had worked as a secretary at Hampton High School. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Elizabethton and Zion Baptist Church while residing in Conyers, GA. She was a former member of the Hampton Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Asa S. Wilcox; a granddaughter, Leslie Bailey; four sisters, Ethel Mustard, Jennie Wolfe, Leta Cordell and Flora Curtis and three brothers, Dan Eggers, Clifford Eggers and Clyde Eggers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jerry Bailey, Conyers, GA; a grandson, Tracy Bailey and wife Michelle, Social Circle, GA and three great-grandsons, Brandon Bailey, Chase Bailey and Alec Bailey. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Rosa Eggers Wilcox at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 2, 2014 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Jerry Cordell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Frank Mustard, Jerry Bailey, Jerry Cordell, Kyle Leake, Craig Murray, Tracy Bailey, Brandon Bailey, Chase Bailey and Alec Bailey.
