Randy Markland

Mr. Randy Markland, age 63, of Elizabethton passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of the late George Edward and Wanda Mae Clark Markland. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Markland. Survivors include a sister, Vicki Markland, Johnson City; a brother, Mark Markland and wife Angie, Elizabethton; a niece, Mallory Howell and husband Matt, Johnson City; two aunts, Betty Chambers and Anna Sue Clark, both of Elizabethton and an uncle, Howard Markland, Michigan. Several cousins also survive. Funeral service for Mr. Randy Markland will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the service in Highland Cemetery.
