Novella Kate Nidiffer

Novella Kate Nidiffer, age 81, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Griffin Pierce and Anna Mae Oliver Pierce. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Novella was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, working in her plants and flowers and doing word finds. She loved to spend time with her family and loved to read her Bible.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Orville Nidiffer; a daughter, Brenda Garland; a son Ricky Pierce; an infant daughter, Baby Nidiffer; sisters, Evelyn Richardson, Corren Carden and Ellen Bradley and brothers, Elige Pierce, Jasper Pierce and Ray Pierce. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Eddie Nidiffer and Larry Nidiffer; a son-in-law, Rev. Larry Garland, all of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A graveside service to honor the life of Novella Kate Nidiffer will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2018 in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery with Rev. Bill Greer officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services at 2:30 P.M. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
