Nell June Hudson

June Hudson, age 86, of Bristol, TN, formerly of Bluff City, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Elizabethton, she was a daughter of the late Butler and Odie Blackburn Wilson. Mrs. Hudson was a member of First Baptist Church of Bluff City. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed the company of her many friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Roy Hudson, and a brother and two sisters. She is survived by her five children, Roy J. Hudson, Prosperity, SC, Helen H. Hudson, Lakewood, Colorado, Shirley Vota, Mechanicsville, VA, Randy P. Hudson, of the home, and Rodney Hudson, Bristol, TN; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Imogene Gentry, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Hudson will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 23, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Bluff City with Pastor Mike Pope officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the church prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the Morrell Cemetery in Bluff City. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 A.M. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.Read Obituary
