Mary E. Davis Austin

Mrs. Mary E. Davis Austin, age 70, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence R. and Alma Greer Davis. Family was everything to Mrs. Austin and she loved her grandchildren. She was of the Lutheran faith. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Austin, in 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Austin and her boyfriend Darryl Humphrey, Elizabethton; two sons, Todd Austin and girlfriend Nancy Forbes and Gene Austin and fiance’ Tammy Matheson, all of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Jason Davis, Chris Davis, April Davis and boyfriend Trinity Allen and Josh Austin, all of Elizabethton; three sisters, Dee Grindstaff and husband Owen; Louise Davis Odom and Ruth Davis Williams, all of Elizabethton and a brother, Lawrence R. Davis, Jr. and wife Patsy, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Private services for Mrs. Mary E. Davis Austin will be held at a later date.Read Obituary
