Mary A. Cole

Mary A. Cole, age 98, of Elizabethton passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Cameron and Mary Ada Markland Cole. She was a former employee of Tennessee Line and Twine Company. She enjoyed gardening and she was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include nieces, Linda Cole Reece and husband Wayne, Mary Jo McNeal and husband Fred, Ada Cole and Pauline Bradshaw, all of Elizabethton; two great-nephews, Jerry McNeal and wife Renee and Michael McNeal and wife Makesha, all of Elizabethton and great-great-nieces and nephews, Jeremy McNeal and wife Brittany, Cheyenne McNeal, Mesha McNeal and Brandon McNeal, all of Elizabethton. Graveside service for Mary A. Cole will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in Cole Cemetery, Lacy Hollow Road with Rev. Doug Hartley officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jerry McNeal, Michael McNeal, Jeremy McNeal, Joey Fischer, Marty Norris and Keith Tolley. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday prior to the graveside service or at the home of her niece, Mary Jo McNeal, 201 Lacy Hollow Road, Elizabethton at other times.Read Obituary
