Maria Martha Forstner Woods

Ms. Maria Martha Forstner Woods, age 85, 174 Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1926 in Neufahrn, Germany and was the daughter of the late Josef and Katharina Maier Forstner. Ms. Woods retired from the East Tennessee Undergarment and the Blue Circle Market. She was of the Catholic faith. Ms. Woods loved and was very dedicated to her family; she lived for her children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Woods and a brother, Siegfried Forstner. Survivors include three children, Joann K. Woods and Roy W. Woods and wife Terrie L. Woods, all of Elizabethton and Wanda M. Nance and husband Jim Nance, Surfside Beach, SC; grandchildren, John Woods and wife Mary, Heather, Tina and James Woods, Crystal Potter, Phillip E. Hileman and Audrey Honeycutt and husband James; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Hurt and husband Dwain, Todd Gardner and Shawn Major and wife Heidi; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Haven and Michael Woods, Ezekial and Emma Cooper, Kyra Woods, Keane Woods, Dorian and Mikayla Woods and Ari and Jobe Potter; step-great-grandchildren, Ashley Marie and Courtney Red, Ashley Nicole and Timothy Hurt, Genevieve L. Gardner and Ian Samuel Gardner and Audrey, Abigail, Alison and Anna Major; a brother, Josef Forstner and wife Inga, Germany and a sister, Katharina Forstner Jakob, Germany; nieces and nephews of Germany, Petra Schlosser and husband, Matthias Jakob and family, Sabina, Joseph, Teresa, Siegfried Jr., Maria, Marcus, Andreas and Thomas. Special friends Trudy Pate, Lee and Peggy Whitehead and friends from the Blue Circle Market and the East Tennessee Undergarment also survive. It was Ms. Woods wishes to be cremated and all services will be private.
