Margaret "Maggie" Gould

Margaret “Maggie” Gould made her journey home to heaven on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her home in Stoney Creek at the age of 91. Maggie was born on May 30, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN to Harry M. Bird and Grace Collister Bird. She grew-up in Minnesota and lived in California and the Middle East before moving to Stoney Creek with her daughter in 2004.Maggie was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Grace Bird, her sisters Jeannette Munns and husband Ed and Katherine Simons and husband “Bud” as well as her daughter-in-law Jeannette Gould; her son-in-law John Povraznik and her grandson Jay O. Gould. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Povraznik, of the home and her son, Jay S. Gould, of Hidden Valley Lake, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Gioia Ansbach and husband Steve; Fritz Peters and wife Abbi; Jennifer Pyzer and husband Marnin; Jim Gould and wife Dawn; Katherine Leu and husband Jon, as well as eleven great-grandchildren. Also left to remember her are her nieces Kitty LeSesne and husband Rich, Kaye Knutson and husband Todd, Jean Kennedy and husband Lew and her nephew Ted Munns and wife Denise.The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the nurses and staff of Wellmont Hospice who cared for Maggie and her family with love and support during the last months.
