Lucy Crumley Hill

Mrs. Lucy Crumley Hill, age 91, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Gus W. and Mae M. Hampton Crumley. She had worked in the Accounting Department of the Dupont Company in Wilmington, Delaware. Mrs. Hill was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Elizabethton. She was also a member of the Elizabethton FCE Club, Friends of the Library, the Christian Woman’s Club and the Elizabethton Woman’s Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hill in 1988; a daughter, Sonja Jean Hill, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include four grandchildren, Joseph Paul Pouser, Elizabethton, TN; Aubrey Wayne Pouser, Wilmington, Delaware; Connie Lee Pouser Mendez, Elkton, Maryland and Sonja Elizabeth Huff Guinn, Elizabethton, TN. Fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a nephew, Mike Crumley and several nieces also survive. Graveside service for Mrs. Lucy Crumley Hill will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Friday, June 21, 2013 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Travis Biller officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Jerry Barnett. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the graveside service.Read Obituary
