"View This Video Tribute" Mrs. Lorena E. Dance, 88, of Elizabethton has gone home to be with her Lord Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Bristol, VA she was the daughter of the late William E. and Hazel Pippin Hamm. Mrs. Dance was retired as a district manager with Avon. She was a member of First Baptist Church Elizabethton and was a member of the Sycamore Chapter #163 of the Eastern Star and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Curry Dance and a sister. Survivors include her son, John W. Dance and wife Cathryn, Johnson City; three grandsons, three great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson; a sister, Betty Myers, Jonesborough; a brother, Billy Hamm, Clinton, MD and an aunt, Helen Hoover, Johnson City. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service for Mrs. Lorena E. Dance will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Royston officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. The Sycamore Chapter #163 of the Eastern Star will accord their service at the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the funeral service. Memorials in lieu of flowers to those who desire may be made to the TN Baptist Children’s Homes; P. O.
