Linda Lucille Dyer, of Jonesborough, TN went into the arms of her Lord and Savior Monday, January 8, 2024 at the age of 70 years young. She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Paul and Frieda Baur, sister Anne Marie Baur and beloved husband Bobbie Lynn Dyer.Linda was born March 29, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan. She grew up the daughter of a farmer and it became the fabric of her life. She truly earned her place in the world as a strong willed, hardworking cowgirl. She rode horses and helped break horses well into her adult life. Her love for wild flowers, wild horses, bird songs, fresh garden veggies, pets and the mountains showed in everything she did.She was loyal. If you were her friend, or family, you were one of the luckiest people on earth. She always had your back. She was always there for advice, strength, love and a hug whenever you needed it. She loved hard and sometimes was misunderstood as she was very set in her beliefs and she was not afraid to do what she felt was right, no matter the cost. She spent her later years cheering on her grandchildren. She was so proud of her family. Often, she was behind the scenes as she loved to watch them shine. She still enjoyed gardening, new calves being born in the spring time, daffodils peeking through the frozen ground bringing with them the promise of new life- the promise of springtime.Linda leaves behind a brother, Roger (Loretta)Baur, daughter Kimberly Sexton (Randy), daughter Cynthia Prince (Steve), and son Keith Dyer (Linda), along with 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, various cousins, special friends and furry family members. There will be a memorial scheduled in the spring per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Linda’s honor to the Washington County Tennessee Library Foundation, 200 Sabin Drive, Jonesborough, TN 37659. She still believed in holding onto a good book. She spent countless hours reading and it was so important to her that others could escape into the pages of many adventures as an escape from this world. We rejoice in the fact that we will meet her again and that she is reunited with her love and her family who has went before her.Online condolences may be shared with the family and viewed on our website at www.hathawaypercy.com.
