So many sweet memories. My thoughts and prayers to you all.
When I will remember Lennis, I will remember her babysitting me and Debbie many years ago, She always had a great sense of humor and could find a way to bring out a smile in everybody. She was so kind to my grandchildren (Ava, Amelia, and Adelyn) and they always looked forward to seeing her. I will miss her tap on my shoulder everytime she came in to church on Sunday. Just that simple acknowledgement meant so much to me. I know about her cooking skills ,because she could make the best macaroni salad in the world!! There are so many good things to remember about her that they can't be written on this page. I know the family is gonna miss her and think about her often. But when you remember her, remember most of all, she is at peace and her battle has been won. I look forward to seeing her and other members of my family again someday.
Sorry for your loss. Prayers for the Family during this difficult time. Brenda Payne

We first met Lennis when we rolled into town two days after Thanksgiving in 2003, uprooting in our later middle age to move to these beautiful Tennessee mountains. We had been on the road for sixteen hours, one of us pulling a trailer with horses in it and the other driving the U-Haul truck that barely made it up some of those mountains! LOL We stopped at Lennis' Stoney Creek Grill and never has a hamburger tasted so good! Needless to say, we enjoyed many more after that, even when we weren't starving! Through the years, it has been our privilege to meet Paul as well as several other members of both the immediate and extended family and also to enjoy some wonderful church services with them at Holly Springs.
Rest in peace, Lennis, and God bless you and comfort you, her dear family, until you meet again.
