Larry Wayne Price, age 72, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Herman and Hattie Edens Price. Larry was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and was a member of Freedom Road Baptist Church. He retired from the pipe fitting industry and was a member of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitters Local Union #538. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Manuel Price and a sister, Shirley Morgan.Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kay Kiser Price of the home; a son, Larry Price II and wife Rhonda of Elizabethton; a daughter, Nikki Marley and husband Mike of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Zachary Marley of Charleston, SC; Adam Marley and Gracie Price both of Elizabethton; three brothers, Louie Price and wife Vivian and Jerry Price and wife Bert all of Elizabethton; and Tony Price and wife Sandy of GA; two sisters, Sue Blythe and Lisa Padgett and husband, Richard all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service to honor the life of Larry Wayne Price will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. Military honors to be accorded by the Bristol VFW Post 6975. Active pallbearers will be Larry Price II, Mike Marley, Zachary Marley, Adam Marley, Carl Widener and Herman Price. Everyone will meet at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Friends may visit Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services on Monday, March 30, 2020 between the hours of 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM to sign the guest book and pay their respects.Read Obituary

To the entire Price family - I was so sad to see that Larry had passed. He was a kind and dependable patient for many years. He always talked about his family. He will be greatly missed. My husband often saw him at Larry's shop too. We both send our sympathy.
I’m going to miss you Uncle Larry. I’m going to miss your sense of humor and your hugs. Most of all, I’m going to miss your smile and laugh. You had the most contagious spirit. I know your not hurting anymore, but man we are going to miss you down here. Love you always.
I remember all the coins he pulled out of each generation of children’s ears. I love you Uncle Larry.
