Kimberly Dawn Hornyak, age 43, Elizabethton died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in UT Medical Center, Knoxville. A native of Kalamazoo, MI she was the daughter of the late Sandra Kay Smith Huss. Ms. Hornyak was a restaurant manager. Survivors include four children, Thomas Lee Hornyak Jr., Phoenix, AZ, Christina Leigh Crabtree and husband Michael, Bristol, VA, Amanda Roseanne Hornyak and fiance Michael Perkins and Joseph Ernest David Hornyak, all of Elizabethton; her fiancé, Larry Spurlock, Tazewell, TN; a sister, Wendy Anders and husband Tony, Alabama, two brothers, Jimmy Evonvik, Alabama and Melvin Huss, Afghanistan; two grandchildren, Lillyanna Hornyak and Connar Crabtree. Special family, Tom and Mary Hornyak, Lisa Vaughan, Anna Ward and husband Tony, Emily Kolb and husband Andrew, Sarah Kolb and husband Aaron and Connie Badillo also survive. Funeral service for Kimberly Dawn Hornyak will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. John Hornyak and Rev. Darrell Ward officiating. Music will be under the direction of Harry Reagan and Joel Younce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-6:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and private interment for close family members will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Birchfield Cemetery, Roan Mountain, TN. Friends will be received following the interment service at the home of Aaron and Sarah Kolb. Active pallbearers will be Tom Hornyak, Tony Ward, Aaron Kolb, Phil Hornyak and Michael Perkins. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. on Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services to help with funeral expenses.Read Obituary

She was a wonderful daughter in law. She was Dearly loved, and will be greatly missed. May God keep her close now that she no longer has to suffer the trials and tribulations of this world. God Bless Kim. We will all miss her.
I will never forget Kim's wonderful smile and laugh... and her beautiful children and grandchildren are in my thoughts and prayers.... Heaven truly has an angel lookin on us.... We will miss u KIM
