Joey Kaye Murr

Joey Kaye Murr, age 42, of Watauga, TN passed away Monday March 4, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Johnson City, TN and she was of the Baptist faith.Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Reta Harrison and husband Timothy and David Murr and wife Debbie; all of Jonesborough, TN; two children, Timothy Peyton Turner and Reta Elizabeth Turner, both of the home; two brothers, David Eugene “Tater” Murr and wife Amber, Jonesborough, TN; Marty Murr, Johnson City; a very special cousin who was like a sister, Kelly Sells-Norton and husband Jason, Elizabethton, TN; other special cousins, Kelsye Garland, Casey Garland and Terry Garland, all of Elizabethton, TN; two nieces, Morgan Cole, Gray, TN and Jordan Murr, Johnson City, TN; a nephew, Caleb Murr, Johnson City and four great-nieces, Addison, Annsley, Rhealynn and Marley Cole. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Willa Mae Kilby; a sister-in-law, Melissa Ann Murr and an aunt, Terry Kaye Casteel.A graveside service to honor the life of Joey Kaye Murr will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City, TN with Pastor Tony Birchfield officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jason Norton, Wesley Taylor, Joshua Cole, Roger Murr, Logan Sigman and Cody Sigman.The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 or at the residence of her mother at other times.Read Obituary
