Jimmy C. Morris

Jimmy C. Morris, age 68, of 196 Carr Hollow Road, Bluff City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Elizabethton. He was the son of the late Earl and Burlen Lyons Morris and was born in Carter County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Lyons. Mr. Morris was a retired sheet metal worker and was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Linda Carr Morris, of the home; two sons, Jimmy Dale Morris and David Lynn Morris and his wife, Kim, all of the home; one daughter, Donna Sue Trinkle and her husband, Eddie, Bluff City; five grandchildren, Savannah Sue Trinkle, Cody Trinkle, Tasha (Morris) Johnson and Victoria Morris, all of Bluff City; and Justin Morris, Bristol; one sister, Mary Lunceford, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews. The memorial service for Jimmy C. Morris will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Frank Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM prior to the service in the funeral home chapel or at the residence at other times. Honorary pallbearers will be Crockett Johnson, James Osborne, Dallas Sams, Kevin Morrell, Bubby White, Ricky Malone, Dwayne Nance and Eddie Trinkle.Read Obituary
