Jimmie Heaton

Mr. Jimmie Heaton, age 70, 136 Nave Street, Hampton, TN passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County he was the son of the late Dud and Tilda Johnson Heaton. Mr. Heaton had worked at Mapes Piano Strings for fifty-one years. He was a Christian. Mr. Heaton was a very hard worker, was very generous and giving. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Virginia Heaton, of the home; four daughters, Sandra Kingrea and husband Brett, Hampton, Melissa Heaton and husband Paul Ray, Angela Sargent and husband Tony, all of Elizabethton and Andrea Heaton, Medford, Minnesota; two sons, Jimmy Heaton Jr., of the home and Kalvin Heaton and wife Jessica, Johnson City. Fourteen grandchildren also survive. Funeral service for Mr. Jimmie Heaton will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Hobart Bradshaw officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in Buckles Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and selected employees of Mapes Piano Strings. Honorary pallbearers will be all employees of Mapes Piano String. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Noon until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the funeral service or at the residence at other times.Read Obituary
