Jesse Lee Deloach, age 37, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Elizabethton and is the son of Larry Deloach and Janet Shook.Jesse was an avid outdoorsman, who loved his dogs, hunting, fishing and being nature. The activity he enjoyed the most was clearing his mind in the woods as he listened to nature. Jesse was a loving and caring father who was always willing to help others and attended Fellowship Community Church.Jesse was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and his son’s mother, Kristal Dubque.Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Syklar Deloach; his mother, Janet Shook; his father, Larry Deloach (Cathy); a brother, Patrick Deloach; and a sister, Miranda Anderson (Brandon). Several nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.A service to celebrate Jesse’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services, Elizabethton with Pastor Ken Houser, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday.The graveside service will follow in the Turner Cemetery (off Bluefield Avenue in Elizabethton). Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home following the service to go in procession to the cemetery.The family would like to offer a special thanks to anyone who has assisted them during this difficult time and to Keith Younce, for offering his services in assisting the family.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Carter County Humane Society, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643 in honor of Jesse.Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit the county wear masks in public.
