Janet was a good friend of my family when we lived in Montesano, Washington. I have lots of fond memories of her. She was a good person and I pray that she had a happy life. God love her.

Keesy, age 72, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully at her residence Monday, November 21, 2011 following an extended illness. A native of Aberdeen, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Mahlon D. and Hope McPherson McGraw. Mrs. Keesy worked as a teacher’s aide with the Carter County School System at Keenburg Elementary School where she worked with special needs children. She enjoyed reading, and loved spending time with her family. Jan was a member of Watauga Point United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keesy was preceded in death by a brother, Danny McGraw. She is survived by her husband, Ken Keesy, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Kathey Bailey, Forney, TX; two twin daughters, Melinda Keesy, Jonesborough, and Melissa Keesy, Mountain City; two grandchildren, Stephanie Doyle and husband, Travis, and Milton Bailey and wife, Courtney, all of Forney, TX; four great-grandchildren, Lia and Preston Doyle, and Caeden and Savannah Bailey, all of Forney, TX; and a brother, Mike McGraw, Satsop, WA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Jan Keesy will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2011 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Mike Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted immediately following the funeral on Friday in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Read Obituary
