James C. Cannon

James C. Cannon, age 76, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late William Lewis Cannon and Bonnie Ruth Ward Cannon and was born on June 9, 1945. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Cannon and a granddaughter, Tosha Johnson.Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty-six years, Lillie Cannon of Elizabethton; four daughters, Deanna Tolley (Brian) of Elizabethton, Jennifer Kane (Jason) of Abingdon, Maryland, Tammy Hughes (Randall) of Roan Mountain, and Christy Cannon of Elizabethton; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; four siblings, Brenda Collins (Joe), Jerry Cannon (Vickie), Sandra Grindstaff (Benny) and Ronnie Cannon, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Services will be held at a later date.
