Iva Lee Blevins

Iva Lee Blevins, 78, of Roan Mountain, TN passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Blevins was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Will and Lena Ingram Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Hill and Shirley Hill. Mrs. Blevins was a homemaker and had attended Hopson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She loved working in her garden. Survivors include her husband, Carl Blevins, of the home; one son, Junior Blevins and wife Deszmer, Roan Mountain; and one grandson, Travis Blevins, also of Roan Mountain. The funeral service for Mrs. Blevins will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway Percy Funeral and Cremation Services, Elizabethton, with Rev. Charlie Trivette and Rev. Jimmy Holstclaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday; or at the residence of her son at anytime. The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in the family cemetery at the residence in Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Jackie Triplett, Bun Potter, Billy Brown, Richard Hummer, Noah Cole and Steve Holtsclaw. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM on Sunday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice of Elizabethton, for all the love and care shown to Mrs. Blevins during her illness.
