On Saturday March 26th, Helen Harris was welcomed into her father’s arms. Helen radiated love, many who knew her counted her among family and she them. She was called Sis or Mom as often as her given name. With a servant’s heart, she gave freely and abundantly, regardless of personal cost. As a single mother working multiple jobs, she always made time for her children. As a friend she always had an ear or hand to lend. As a grandmother she always had time for one more kiss or hug. As a patient, even at her sickest, she always tried to give respite to the nurses giving care and make them smile as she worried, they were overworked. True to her giving spirit, her favorite holiday was Christmas. If fault could be found, she did brag shamelessly about her, “babies”. She is preceded in death by her father Charlie and fiancé Richard and is survived by her mother Anna (husband Bob), sister Teresia (husband Ben), daughters Melissa (husband Joe) and Heather (husband Michael), step-daughter Heather (husband Kenny), nephew Andrew (wife Chenoa), grandchildren: Betsy (husband Jared), Harley (partner Katie), Ashley, Brook (fiancé Joseph), Kelsey, Charlie, Salym, Jonas, Kenny Ray, Elijah, Steven, great grandchildren Kyleigh, Annabelle, Jenna, and Aaliyah.A celebration of life will be held at Buffalo Valley Christian Church Fellowship Hall (111 Buffalo Valley Church Rd, Johnson City, TN 37601) on Monday April 11th at 2:00 pm.
