Hattie Cordelia Nidiffer

Hattie Cordelia Pierce Nidiffer, age 91, of Elizabethton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from Signature Health and Rehab Center of Elizabethton. Hattie was born in Elizabethton, TN to the late Caleb and Lucinda Anderson Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Brett Nidiffer and Steve Nidiffer; an uncle and aunt, who raised her, Alfred and Fannie Pierce; six sisters and five brothers.Hattie was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her cats. She loved her life, family and cats and she was of the Baptist faith. Hattie also enjoyed listening to old time music, collecting dolls and especially spending time with her family and clogging.Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ronald Nidiffer and wife Mary; James Nidiffer and Annie Bradley and husband Ronnie, all of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.A service to celebrate the life of Hattie Cordelia Pierce Nidiffer was conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN with Pastor Roy Yelton officiating.The family would like to thank the doctors and healthcare workers at Signature Health and Rehab Center of Elizabethton for the wonderful care given to Hattie during her illness.
