Greg Hughes

Mr. Greg Hughes, 57, 141 Grandview Road, Johnson City died unexpectedly Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Love Lee Hughes and Ileen Vista Vance Hughes. Mr. Hughes worked as a welder and then went to work with CSX Railroad in the transportation department. He loved fast motorcycles and fast cars. Mr. Hughes was a member of Hopwood Christian Church.            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Lou Phelps. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Tammy Miller Bryson and Blaze Bryson, Nashville; two grandchildren, Corey Wayne Miller and Dakota Blaze Bryson, both of Nashville; a brother and his wife, Mike Hughes and Jenny Hughes, Gray; two nephews, Rick Slaughter and Kirk Slaughter, both of California; a niece and her husband, Johanna Gilespie and Joseph Gilespie, Gray; a great-niece, Eliza Gilespie and a great-nephew, Trey Gilespie, both of Gray.            Private disposition for Mr. Greg Hughes will be held at a later date.            Memorials in lieu of flowers to those who desire may be made to the Carter County Humane Society, P.
