"View This Video Tribute"    Georgia Mae Wilson Cole, 68, Hickory, NC formerly of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 in the Brian Center, Viewmont, NC. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Walter “Bud” and Ethel Marie Miller Wilson. She was a homemaker and she attended the Solid Rock Baptist Church, Granite Falls, NC.     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Cole and a sister, Shirley McNeal. Survivors include her husband, Charles “Bo” William Cole, Mountain City, TN; four daughters, Katherine Crotts and husband Cecil, Laura Cook and husband Richard, Lisa Parlier and husband Chris, all of Granite Falls, NC and Alice Odom, Bristol, TN; eight grandchildren, Misty Parlier, William Parlier, Ricky Cook, Kristy Price, Crystal Beal, Ashley Canipe, Tara Odom and Rusty Odom; ten great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Ward, Brenda Carr, Ruth Hilbert, Helen Markland and Elsie Evans; a brother, Jackie Wilson and a special aunt, Helen Cundiff, Louisville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.     Funeral service for Georgia Mae Wilson Cole will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 13, 2010 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Stines officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in Cole Cemetery, Lacy Hollow, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Charlie McNeal, Steve McNeal, Ricky Oliver, David Oliver, Gregory Miller and Bobby Gordon. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Price, Ricky Cook, Jeffery Mitchell, Christopher Oliver, Justin Whitson, Tyler Whitson, Bryan Canipe and Daniel Beal.     The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12, 2010 or at the residence of a sister, Ruth Hilbert, 620 Swimming Pool Road, Lot #2, Hampton at other times.     The family would like to express a special thanks to the Brian Center, Viewmont, NC for their care to Mrs. Cole.          Arrangements for the Cole family have been entrusted to Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home
