General Dwight Pittman

General Dwight Pittman, age 55, 123 Low Gap Road, Elizabethton died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Sparta, TN he was the son of the late General F. and Henry Sue England Pittman. Mr. Pittman was a millwright. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Lacey Pittman, Elizabethton; a brother, Dwayne Pittman; an aunt, Juonne England, Phoenix, AZ and an uncle, Keith England, Arizona. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for General Dwight Pittman will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Greg Largent officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Friday prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. (Central Standard Time) Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the Plainview Cemetery, Sparta, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Sexton, Jason Long, Wayne Pierce and Alfred Fitzgerald.
