Frankie Johnson Woodby, 70, of 147 Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at her home. She was the daughter of Texie Winters Johnson, of Roan Mountain and the late Wilt Johnson and was born in Roan Mountain. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dana Cecil Woodby, a son, Timmy Woodby and a niece, Sherry Babb.In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory, include two daughters, Melissa Doyle (Matthew), of Unicoi; Terisa Simerly, of Jonesborough; three sons, Michael Woodby, Dusty Woodby, Wesley Woodby, all of Elizabethton; two adopted sons, Thomas Bowling, of Elizabethton; Brandon Bowling (Jodi), of Fall Branch; four grandchildren, Ashly Jones, Andrew Jones, Timothy Horton, Elizabeth Horton; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Johnson, of Elizabethton; Junior Johnson, of Hampton; three sisters, Margaret Whitehead (Arnold), of Roan Mountain; Grace Wagner, of Hampton; Robin McKinney, of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A graveside service for Mrs. Frankie Johnson Woodby will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in the Johnson Family Cemetery on Mill Pond Road with Pastor Charles McKinney officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 3:50 PM on Tuesday.
