Mr. Frank R. Rabb, age 78, of Lexington, NC passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at his residence. A native of Johnson City, TN he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl Davis Rabb. He was a former employee of Dixie Furniture and Burlington Furniture. Mr. Rabb was an honest man who had a huge heart, loved everybody and would never turn anyone away. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Allen Johnson and a brother Lee Rabb. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Rabb, of the home; a son, Anthony Rabb, Louisiana; a daughter, Cynthia Rabb, Lexington, NC; five step-children, Steve Johnson and wife Margaret, Mt. Pleasant, NC, Nat Johnson, Joyce Coughenour and husband Eddie, Beverly Kyger and husband Mickey and Donna Johnson, all of Lexington, NC; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Donovan and husband Marvin, Johnson City, TN and two brothers, Harry Rabb, Johnson City, TN and J.D. Rabb, Anchorage, Alaska. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Mr. Frank R. Rabb will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 10, 2013 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 â 2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service in Highland Cemetery, Elizabethton, TN.
