Frances R. Whittington, age 76, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from the Johnson City Medical Center. Frances was born in Elizabethton to the late Lennis Estep Lyons. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step father, George Lyons; and a son, David Whittington.Frances was an intelligent, artistic lady of great talent. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother who was an excellent seamstress, painter and musician. She had an amazing gift for playing any stringed instrument. Frances will be remembered and cherished by all that knew her.Those left to cherish her many wonderful memories include her loving husband of over sixty years, Charles Whittington, of the home; her children, Rob Whittington and Roxanna Whittington; her grandchildren, Chase Whittington and Robin Daniels and husband Billy; her great grandchild, Jackson (JD) Daniels; and her half-sister, Jeanne Burleson. Many other family members and friends also survive, to carry on her memory.It was France’s wishes to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of the Johnson City Medical Center for their compassion and care shown to Frances and her family.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Frances.On line condolences may be sent to the family and viewed by visiting our website at www.hathawaypercy.com.
