T. “Bill” Forbes; brothers, Ray, Ralph and John Clark, sisters, Alta Smith, Dorothy Webb and Helen Lewis. She is survived by a son, Larry W. Forbes and his wife, Carla; a grandson, Brandon W. Forbes and his wife, Sarah and a granddaughter, Laura Forbes Allman and her husband, John; a sister-in-law, Alma Tester Clark and a brother-in-law, George W. Lewis.  A Celebration of Life Service for Edith Clark Forbes will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in Hopwood Memorial Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to the service.  Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 13, 2009 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Forbes, Johnny Clark, Dicky Clark, Larry Howell, Del Oakes and Tony Mottern. Honorary pallbearers will be Duard Walker, John Banks, Carl Hoffman, Jack Knowles, Jeff Holt, Jeff Kelly, Roy Hampton and Mike McKinney.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Hermitage Health Care Center, where Edith was lovingly cared for and treated with respect and dignity. We appreciate the Caris Hospice nurses who cared for Edith in her final days.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopwood Memorial Christian Church, Milligan College, TN 37682 or to Gideons International, P. Dear Larry/Carla and family:  Your mom was a true angel here on this earth that you and all of our family was most wonderfully blessed to share her in our lives thru these 99 years!  Her smile and gentleness will endure in our hearts and minds forever.  She's now entered God's kingdom and is that same smiling, happy person bringing her kindness back to all the other family members who left this earth before her.  Now they are all reunited again and welcoming this newest Angel into heaven with open arms.  May God's strength be with you all thru this time of loss!##imported-begin##Gene Grindstaff##imported-end##

She was a wonderful lady and I have very fond memories of stopping to visit with her as I walked to and from school at Emmanuel.  She was very proud of her family and very happy with the life God had blessed her with.  She will be missed by anyone whose life she touched.##imported-begin##Ben Patton##imported-end##
