Eddie Dean Turbyfill Sr.

Mr. Eddie Dean Turbyfill, Sr., age 61, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of Bonnie Turbyfill of Elizabethton and the late Denny Turbyfill. Mr. Turbyfill was an electrician. He attended Borderview Christian Church and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #934 for thirty-five years.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rona “Jean” Turbyfill, of the home; two sons, Eddie Dean Turbyfill, Jr. and Joshua Ross Turbyfill, both of Elizabethton, four grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eddie Dean Turbyfill, Sr. will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Scott Fisher, minister officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the funeral service or at the residence at any time. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 29, 2014 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.Read Obituary
