Doug "Smokey" Cart

Doug “Smokey” Cart, age 52, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence. A native of South Bend, IN he was the son of the late Maurice Cart and Virginia Sims Hildebran. He was a welder and a former employee of PSG. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Maurice Cart and a sister, Becky Jo Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Roxie Deloach Cart, Elizabethton; a daughter, April Fenner and Fiancé Dewayne Osborne, Johnson City; grandchildren, Christopher Fenner and Destiny Osborne, Johnson City; two brothers, Steve Cart and wife Catherine, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Tony Reed Hildebran and wife Trina, Elizabethton; three sisters, Connie Cart Smith, Indiana, Sharon Burleson and husband Richard, Elizabethton and Carla Navarrete, California; brothers-in-law, Bo Deloach and wife Lori and Stacy Ashley, all of Elizabethton; sisters-in-law, Kay Campbell and husband Troy and Tracy Deloach and boyfriend Chris Hartley, all of Elizabethton and an aunt, Joann of Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews and special friends, Bo Deloach, Troy Campbell, Rich Dunnigan, Saban Smith and Ronnie Hodge, all of Elizabethton and his special companion, his dog, Trixie also survive. Funeral service for Doug “Smokey” Cart will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Eric Heaton and Rev. Johnny Hilton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the service.Read Obituary
