Donald McKinley Huff

Mr. Donald McKinley Huff, 60, 308 McKeehan Ridge Road, Elizabethton died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was the son of Ella Sue Miller Huff of Johnson City and the late Clyde Huff. Mr. Huff was self-employed as an architectural designer and surveyor. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed all sports especially football. He was a 1969 graduate of Happy Valley High School where he played football and later played football at E.T.S.U. Mr. Huff was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Army Secret Agency.In addition to his father, Mr. Huff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dean and Clara Way Miller and uncles, W.A. Miller, Herman C. Miller, Roy Miller and James A. Huff. Survivors in addition to his mother include a son, Jamiean Huff, Elizabethton and two grandchildren, Cameron Huff and Madison Huff, both of Elizabethton.Graveside service for Mr. Donald McKinley Huff will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2011 in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Mr. Tommy Campbell officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:15 PM on Friday prior to the graveside service or at the residence at other times.Read Obituary
