Della Belle Edwards

Miss Della Belle Edwards, 87, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and was the daughter of the late Gus Lee and Laura Hassie Morgan Edwards. Miss Edwards was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was a member of Elizabethton Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Cephas Edwards; four sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Grace Edwards, Valda Martin, and Bea Carden. Several nieces and nephews and one brother-in-law survives. The funeral service for Miss Edwards will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2013, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Roby Ellis, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be her brother-in-law, James Carden, Sr. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to Elizabethton Church of Christ, 137 E. C.
