Clyde Allen McKenzie, age 64, of Elizabethton, TN passed away on Sunday, November 08, 2020 at his residence. He was the son of the late Frankie McKenzie and Maudie McKenzie. Clyde retired from NCI where he was a painter of the steel beams, and he also worked for A&S Steel. He loved to watch Nascar, the Kentucky Wildcats, and looked forward to the Super Bowl every year.Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandy McKenzie of Lafollette, TN; son, Chad McKenzie; daughter, Kelly McKenzie; two brothers, Rodney McKenzie and Emerson McKenzie; sister, Connie Brewer; grandson, Tristen and several nieces and nephews also survive.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org.Read Obituary
As you know, he used to be a trucker. He shared several stories of things that happened. Laughed as he told me about sliding on a wet floor with his brother. Told me of some good times when he was with friends. Talked of pulling a guy up a hill in his new truck. It was easy to see he truly cared for his family and friends.
