Charlotte "Tootsie" Lipford Williams

Charlotte “Tootsie” Lipford Williams passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from congestive heart failure. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lucy Matherly Lipford.Charlotte was full of life and always had a smile on her face. She was Jason Witten’s biggest fan, following him from his days at UT to the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed watching him play football and was always ready for the games. She was also a huge Tony Stewart NASCAR fan.Charlotte was preceded in death by the love of her life and father of her children, Jerry Mack Williams; her son, Glen Williams; her brothers, Jimmy Lipford, Harold Lipford and Ray Lipford; and her sister, Blanche Lipford Johnson.Her children were the light of her life! Survivors include her sons, Lynn (Vickie) Williams, Euless, Texas and Danny (Gina) Williams, Elizabethton, TN; her daughter, Regina (Jim) Jones, Knoxville, TN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be a funeral service for Charlotte. A private family burial will be held at a later date with Keith Whitehead ministering the service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Elizabethton Food Bank, 704 Siam Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
