Chackavan "Burt" Chanchaivit

Mr. Chackavan “Burt” Chanchaivit, age 67, of Elizabethton passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Bangkok, Thailand he was the son of the late Sanong and Chamrat Chanchaivit. Mr. Chanchaivit was in the restaurant business the majority of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Pierce Chanchaivit, of the home; three sisters and three brothers of Washington, D.C. and Thailand and a sister-in-law, Judy Pierce, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment for Mr. Chackavan “Burt” Chanchaivit will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Highland Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 3:20 P.M. on Saturday.Read Obituary
