Brenda Hicks

Brenda Hicks, age 66, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 5, 2021 from her residence. Brenda was born in West Springfield Massachusetts to the late Robert Garrett and Olena Bunnell Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Hicks, and her dog Reject. Brenda led an interesting life and always enjoyed helping others. She worked many different jobs in her life, making many friends along the way who became as close as family. She always worked her way through life with the best of intentions. Brenda was an active member of the Carter Christian Church. She enjoyed bargain shopping, gardening, going to the beach and playing card games with her many friends. Brenda loved to decorate and took great pride in her home. Those left to cherish the memory of Brenda Hicks include her daughter, Jennifer Farrell and husband Paul; her Grandson, Caelen Farrell; her brothers, Larry and Daniel Garrett; several nieces and nephews also survive. A celebration of her life and memorial service will take place on Wednesday September 15th at 1:30 PM at the Carter Christian Church. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Carter Christian Church at 1765 TN-91, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
