Mrs. Bonnie Peterson Loveless, 71, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina and a daughter of the late Nelson and Mary Lee Miller Peterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sue Williams and Rebecca Lewis; by two brothers, Walter Peterson and Bill Peterson and by a grandson, Joshua Ray Loveless. Mrs. Loveless enjoyed attending church and was a member of Sunset Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Norman Ray Loveless, of the home; two sons, Bobby Ray Loveless and wife, Mildred, of Elizabethton and Danny Ray Loveless and wife, Missy, of Bluff City; three daughters, Debra Marie Sherwood and husband, Glenn, of Naples, FL; Teresa Lynn Pitman and husband, Kevin, of Hampton and Angela Renee Watson and husband, Wayne, of Elizabethton; Five grandchildren, Rachel Garcia, Lauren McInturff, Misty Ann Branch, Brittney Taylor and Jonathan Watson; two great-grandchildren, Malachi Branch and Jada Branch; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Friends may also call at the residence anytime. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2011 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Charlie Trivette, Rev. Terry Richardson and Rev. J. C. Sheets officiating. Music will be under the direction of Bob and Pat Ray. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in the McKeehan Ridge Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Pitman, Wayne Watson, Glenn Sherwood, Carl Roberts, Jeff Hartley and Kenneth Loveless. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pensacola Free Will Baptist Church.
