Betty Jean Masters Hensley

Mrs. Betty Jean Masters Hensley, age 85, of Johnson City, TN passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Estes Blaine Masters and Anna Bailey Masters and was born in Erwin, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack Masters, Ralph Masters, Ted Masters and Ramel Masters; and two sisters, Gladys White and Hazel Masters. Betty was of the Christian faith and enjoyed shopping and collecting dolls and Fenton Glassware. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-six years, Jerry Read Hensley of the home; a special niece, Jerrie Sue Bowers and her husband, Jim Schweitzer of Jonesborough, TN; a sister-in-law, Jane Dugger of Elizabethton; and a nephew, Mark Dugger and his wife, Vickie of Elizabethton. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at the residence at any time. Private disposition will be held at a later date.
