Betsy was a special lady and my friend who always lifted my spirits. She was fun to be with and also a great partner in a game of Rook. Walter, my husband, and I enjoyed visiting with Betsy and Clay for many years. I have many good memories of them. Clay, I think of you and I pray the Lord will give you strength and comfort for today and all the tomorrows that lie ahead. Thanks for being such good friends and I love you. Love, Karen May

Betsy was a energetic, delightful, loyal, wonderful friend who was always upbeat and witty about life. Betsy and I always had wonderful stories about our adventures to tell. Two come to mind immediately. One week Betsy and I decided to come from northern Ohio to Tn. It was in the fall and to this day neither of us had forgotten the absolute beauty of the trip --fabulous. Then one day my husband and I were coming toward Betsy and Clay's house and the hot air balloon festival was in Ravenna. My husband got on the CB and told Betsy something big was floating over her house. She replies, " Just one of my biscuits got away." To Clay and Betsy and their families, Raleigh and I sent our prayers and love. Clay and Betsy are precious friends forever. Lois Combs

My best memories of Betsy is what a jolly, caring person she was. We enjoyed visiting them in the Akron, Ohio area when she was caring for her dad, and the many years we gathered at the family reunion in Roan Mountain. Our sympathy and prayers are with Clay and her entire family.

I only knew Betsy for a few years through Raleigh and Lois Combs, but my spirit was always lightened by Betsy's quick wit and smile. I have memories of her laughter that I will hold in my heart. I am thinking of you, Clay, and know you will miss her so much. She was a special lady. God bless, Nancy Combs Mixon (Raleigh's daughter)
