Arleeta Presnell

Arleeta Presnell, age 70, of Johnson City, TN went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Johnson City, TN she was the daughter of the late Roy Johnson and Lutie Bowman Johnson. Mrs. Presnell was a CNA. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was the heart of the family; “life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a Mama.”In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Presnell, a grandson, Jonathan Lee Woody; a sister, Comaleeta Presnell; two infant grandchildren and an infant great-grandchild. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Armetia Woodby and her husband Lee, Elizabethton; David Presnell, Johnson City; Daniel Presnell, Johnson City and Jimmy Presnell, Elizabethton; grandchildren, Megan Vance and husband Nathaniel, Jacob Woodby and wife Britni, Ashley Presnell, Joshua Presnell, Alicia Presnell, Jason Presnell and Zachary Presnell; great-grandchildren, Mason Fair, Alaina Fair, Brylen Woodby and Remington Vance and a sister, Mildred Johnson, Unicoi. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A graveside service to honor the life of Arleeta Presnell will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 12, 2020 in the Lyons Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.Read Obituary
