Anna Ruth Moore Lacey

Anna Ruth Moore Lacey, age 65, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of Bonnie Ramsey Moore of Elizabethton and the late Dwight Moore. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sue Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who had many friends and was known for her generosity.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Lacey, of the home; one son, Jeremy Lacey and one daughter, Betsy Hicks and her husband, Brandon, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Carol Moore Whaley and Billy Carroll, both of Kingsport; two special nieces, Ashley Whaley and Kadence Presnell, both of Elizabethton; an uncle, Col. James Ramsey, Austin, TX.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway Percy Funeral & Cremation Services with a funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating.A private graveside service will be held.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Humane Society, 135 Sycamore Shoals Road, Elizabethton, TN, 37643Read Obituary
