William Daryl Stanton

Mr. William Daryl Stanton, age 56, of Butler, TN passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his residence. A native of Carter County, TN he was the son of Thelma Hatley Stanton, of the home and the late James Joseph Stanton. Mr. Stanton had worked as a laborer in a saw mill and had previously worked at Snap-On Tools. He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Stanton and a sister, Judy Kay Stanton. Those left for cherish his memory in addition to his mother, include four brothers, Vern and Sherry Stanton, Sugar Grove, NC; Terry Lee Stanton, of the home; Michael and Myrna Stanton, Marion, NC; Dennis and Carol Stanton, Lenoir, NC and a special aunt, Dean Garland. Several uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.A service to honor the life of Mr. William Daryl Stanton will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10, 2016 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Cable and Rev Toby Rainbolt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the funeral service or at the residence of his mother at any time. Interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday in the Hatley Cemetery, Butler, TN. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Read Obituary
