Stephen P. Taylor

Mr. Stephen P. Taylor, age 66, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the Agape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Johnson City. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Everett Taylor and Mollie Ann Scalf, Elizabethton. Mr. Taylor was a 1969 graduate of Elizabethton High School where he played basketball. He loved sports.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Jane Kinser, Lou Ann Taylor and Christy Scalf. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include a son, Stephen P. Taylor II, Johnson City; a daughter, Lisa Taylor, Johnson City; five grandchildren; a sister, Cathy Varney, Elberton, GA and a brother, Wayne Jackson, Limestone, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Stephen P. Taylor will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2016 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Family members will provide eulogies. Everyone attending the graveside service is asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 A.M. on Friday.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the charity of their choice.Read Obituary
