Mrs. Sandy Bardo, age 58, of Johnson City, TN passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence. A native of Johnson City, TN she is the daughter of Peggy Holt McKinney, Johnson City, TN and the late James McKinney. Mrs. Bardo was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She was known as “Nana” to everyone and her favorite television show was “The Walking Dead”.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary McKinney and Jimmy McKinney. In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-five years, Bob Bardo, of the home; eleven children, Michael Joe Biggs, of VA, Jennifer Biggs, Murfreesboro, TN, Ryan Bardo, Elizabethton, TN, Stacy Bardo, Dustin Bardo, Rick Bardo, Ronald Bardo, Robert Bardo Jr., all of Johnson City, TN, Robin Hughes, Sweetwater, TN, Randy Bardo, Elizabethton, TN and Rusty Bardo, Erwin, TN; twenty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Debbie Bardo, Johnson City, TN and a brother, Johnny McKinney, of SC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Sandy Bardo will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Johnny McKinney officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 P.M. on Thursday.Read Obituary
