Peggy Ann Gales, age 71, of Erwin, TN passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Akron, OH she was the daughter of the late Carl Taylor Swanson and Mona Margaret Stone Swanson. Mrs. Gales retired as a cosmetologist after thirty-eight years. She was a member of Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Craig Gales and a son, William Craig Gales, II. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter Tammy Moody and husband Tim, Marshall, NC; four grandchildren, Bethany Moody, Abby Moody, Sydney Gales and Stephanie Gales and a sister, Darlene Gerstenslager and husband Tom and their family, Akron, OH.A memorial service for Peggy Ann Gales will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Kenley Knight and Rev. John Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 4:00 -5:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the memorial service.Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene, 200 West I Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643 in memory of Mrs. Peggy Ann Gales.
